I have been disseminating information on how I got off of drugs and alcohol with electricity for decades now, and finally I am seeing the results on T.V. and cinematographic productions.

The following is the message I have been sending to producers every where and now especially to you.

Please bare with me, as I am not a good writer. The following is my spill on the subject to health documentary producers.


Ladies and Gentlemen, how do you do.

I am an admirer of your work and would love to join in your cause to enlighten the world about health issues, particularly in the area of "addiction medicine".

I am a person who thinks it would be beautiful if there was a therapy that could cure all "addicts" overnight.

Sir, I believe such a therapy exists.

I have been in contact with several politicians on the matter and one was Mr. Schwarzenegger whom I met before his run for office at L.A. City Hall a while back and also Mr. Antonovich whom I spoke publicly before at the Board of Supervisors meeting.

I was speaking that day on "Faradism" or Faradic Aversion Therapy and shared my views with them and Mayor Hahn on the potential this therapy had to curb the drug and alcohol problem.

I explained that 60 to 80% of people in jail are there for drug related reasons and that we might save 60 to 80% of the budget that goes to alleviate this by implementing Faradism in our drug and alcohol rehabs.

Faradism means the use of electricity for therapeutic purposes and is the reason I am reaching out to you today.

I have made appeals to the L.A. Board of Supervisors who have responded favorably and ordered Department of Health Services Director Fred Leaf to investigate its possible implementation in the government funded rehabs.

I believe I have more practical experience with this therapy than anyone in the world ever has as I have applied my own form of Faradic Aversion Therapy to curb multi addiction and emotional problems over the years. One of the most modern street drugs, Crack, has a short lived rush and is a perfect target for faradic intervention.

I accomplished these hailed miracles in the harshest most hostile environments imaginable. The Skid Rows of Mexico, L. A. and El Paso Txa.

I auto conducted my own Faradic Aversion Therapy employing a common Tens Unit (Trans-cutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) which I fashioned myself out of a dimmer switch ( I recomend the Cajas de Toques instead ).

I did this by paring my method of constant negative reinforcement (C.N.R.) and slowly increasing electrical impulse irritation treatment ( S.I.E.I.I.T. ) to just one hand while focusing on targeted cognitions and/or behaviors.

Bathing the hand and some of the forearm with barely tolerable electrical discomfort. Electricity is easily acclimated to and must be amplified occasionally to achieve it's optimum therapeutic potential.

The therapy has six to twelve month abstinence rates and often has to be booster-ed yearly, but only in the first few years.

I not only quit drinking, smoking cigarettes, crack cocaine, marijuana, and meth but accomplished total "mental sensing" extinction of my marital baggage as well. (lol)

I stopped smoking crack in one day after just one "electroversion"!

I stopped drinking in two sessions after that.

Smoking took three days but it only took one half hour session to emotionally forget about my childhood bride when she left me.

It took a little longer to figure out how to apply it to meth and marijuana but that "took" as well. Thank God!

I have also gratefully used this method (once employed by Dr. Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration of Independence and father of American psychiatry, on an endeared Negro for alcoholism) for anger management, anxiety, and dieting. I pray I will never need it for bereavement.

Pedophiles and homosexuals have also been successfully treated (Ann Landers recommended it for exhibitionism) with this method.

According to an L.A.Times article by Linda Marsa entitled "TREAT THE ABUSER, REDUCE THE RISK" (March 13 2002) the following was reported.

"1991 John Hopkins University study revealed that after Maryland instituted a mandatory reporting law in 1989,the number of undetected abusers who sought treatment dropped from about seven per year to zero".

Do to mandatory reporting laws, pedophiles who seek treatment must be denounced to the authorities and "an unknown number of children will remain at risk" says Dr.Fred S.Berlin.

Here they can preform the treatment themselves and even if they do it "wrong" it is better than no therapy at all. Right?.

I know these people don't want to be "untreatable". I know they will treat themselves if they only knew how.

If not death therapy has been recommended by Gov. Don Siegelman. I think that might be good incentive for some people to Faradize for sexual dysfunction.

Governor Schwarzenegger and Mayor Hahn seemed to like the idea and so do most others (especially Mexicans) the problem is it's almost unheard of!

I am writing today to see if I can garner some support for the method. Maybe you could take some time and peruse my web site at www.Faradism.net and read how easy it was for me to implement my own therapy.

Mine rarely involves a series of sudden jolts to the system as similar methods are reported to do in "The Punishment Cure" book (linked in the group files section at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Faradism).

I am praying we could have it taught to our youth so they can also cure their drug, alcohol, and emotional problems should they arise.

Also you might care to help me put together a coalition so we can start telling people about this wonderful method.

I believe the development of my method has been "superior" to the ones used before because I am a Mexican :)

A Mexican like many others of my ilk who for machismo's sake duel each other with these prolific shock box's refereed to in the vernacular as "Chicharra's" or "Cajas de Toques" on a daily basis.

We've practiced these electroversions all our lives and we have a wealth of "first hand" prima facie knowledge on the proper execution of an impromptu electro-aversive competition.

Were proud of that. Only real Mexicans do this however. Other Latin countries have not the slightest clue what a chicharra is, nor what its for.

I believe they compete this way Philippine's also.

Please allow me to explain. In the country of Mexico, Faradistas traipse all the tourist areas and cantinas with these home made "Caja de Toques" (battery powered TENS) inviting people to test their courage or Machismo with them. They go "Toques toques toques"? (meaning "Toques means shocks"). We give them a dollar and if we take it to the max we get it back. Then your partner try's to beat you at it.

We don't actually jolt or "shock" our system with them "per se". We slowly increase the electricity till we can't take it any more and we think its fun!

I know... it sounds like something you wouldn't get up real early in the morning for but...

I am also trying to developed a shock clock ( like an alarm clock ) and a Tens Unit designed to my specs specifically for auto-field resistant aversion therapy also). But I digress.

Any how .. We find it is easy and not dangerous at all to do it this way. (No Medical Journal has ever reported a death from this type of experience ). And we don't think it's weird, not at all, and we don't understand why other races and cultures might find it "impalpable" that we conduct these "old Mexican natural bravery selection test with electricity".

So you see, it is part of our culture.

And it would be nothing for most of us to transfer this "bravery testing" into a therapy. Especially if our parents, wives or significant other told us to. Maybe as a remedy for an associated problem like prop 36 suggest.

"Como son escandalosos" is what we comment about electrophobes From the U.S. then smile and shake our heads.

I have helped many people on the Skid Rows of our country to get off of drugs, cigarettes and alcohol this way.

I and would love to travel to all the skid rows around the world training people to do this.

Another goal involves producing live computer cast video taping of people using this method, then following up with them around one to six months later as they immediately improve. For prosperity sake.

2. Six- and Twelve-Month Abstinence Rates in Inpatient Alcoholics Treated with Either Faradic Aversion or Chemical Aversion Compared with Matched Inpatients from a Treatment Registry - James W. Smith, P. Joseph Frawley and Nyak L. Polissar ABSTRACT. Two hundred forty–nine patients who were treated for alcoholism in an inpatient multi modal treatment program that included aversion therapy were matched post hoc on 17 baseline variables with patients from a national treatment outcome registry. The latter patients received inpatient treatment that emphasized individual and group counseling as the primary therapeutic elements but did not include aversion therapy for alcohol. SixEand 12–month abstinence rates from alcohol and all mood–altering chemicals are reported. The patients treated with aversion therapy for alcohol had higher alcohol abstinence rates at 6 and 12 months (p < 0.01). The abstinence rates from all mood–altering chemicals were higher in the aversion group at 6 months (p < 0.05) but not at 12 months. These comparisons pooled faradic aversion and chemical aversion results. In order to determine whether or not the faradic aversion gave comparable results to the chemical aversion, the two groups were separately analyzed. No significant differences in outcome were found. In fact, the faradic aversion group showed a slight (nonsignificant) increase in abstinence rate.
